The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway

Winter was technically over the Thursday before last (3/20), but shhh, don’t tell the weather that. While we’ve had a couple spring-like 70° days, generally it’s still really chilly here in Maryland.

Naturally, I’m loving every minute of it.

As of this past Tuesday, we’ve had 19 snow events this winter. We even had a bit of snow mixed into our rainy day yesterday, but it wasn’t quite cold enough to amount to anything. Compared to winter’s past (or lack thereof), we’ve been mighty blessed if you ask me. Of course, the majority of everyone I know is so over snow and cold temperatures they’ve become hateful about it. I figure, you can’t change the weather, so you might as well find some way to love it.

For the past three months all I’ve really taken pictures of is snow and ice so I thought I’d finally share some since I’m pretty sure real snowfall is probably over.

Spring never lasts very long in Maryland and I imagine it will be a chilly, rainy one and I’m totally okay with that. Still, I’ll miss you, Winter. :)

I’ve seen so many people online complaining about snow, and I’m just over here, thinking, “Snow? What’s that?” XD

Glad you’re one of the rare ones who’s able to enjoy that kind of weather! The snowy picture you shared is so, so pretty. I can’t imagine what it must be like to see that in person!

Just curious, can you see more than one picture? It sounded like you could only see the one, but the picture shown is a slideshow to click through via flickr. Only asking because maybe I did something wrong when using this option and just making sure it’s not only visible on my end.

Oh, I hadn’t realized it was a slideshow! It honestly just looks like a single picture when you glance at the post. When I hovered my mouse over it just now, though, arrows popped up to show more pictures…

Okay good! Too bad those arrows don’t stay lit up all the time, though. Hmmm… might have to find another way to share photos for the future or just make a note that you can click through them since it’s not obvious at first glance. Thanks for letting me know! :)

I came over from Heather’s blog just now. Happy Birthday!

I love snow so that picture looks awesome! It’s warm and sunny where I am and we haven’t had snow in a year.

I love your hair btw! 😀

Thank you for the Birthday wishes, Kamille! And your kind comments about my snow pictures and hair! :) Sorry it’s been a year since you’ve had snow. I can only imagine how sad that’d make me. Hopefully next winter is kinder? (or do you live in a place now that it never snows?)

It’s okay. We had torrential rain for like two months straight. I live in the UK. Not the best place for snow. Even though the last four years had lots of snow!

We hadn’t really had snow in the last couple years so it was a nice change of pace (usually hits us every 4 years here), but I’d take all that rain, too. Definitely more of a fan of the cool, dreary days – whether they’re accompanied by rain or snow. :)

Hi Sarah! Happy Birthday! I’m stopping over from Heather’s blog!

Like you, I also love the snow and the cold. I was just telling my husband the other day that I wasn’t ready for the heat, give me some more cold days where I can curl up in a blanket with my laptop, and I’ll be happy!

Your pictures are beautiful!! The trees are so pretty laden with snow. Love it!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Kristin! Glad to see I’m not the only winter lover out there. I’m grateful to live somewhere that actually has 4 seasons, but sometimes I think I need to move somewhere colder. I just can’t handle the heat, especially MD heat because the humidity is insane here!

Hey, I hear it’s your birthday. Is that right? Happy birthday. If I’m just misinformed you can laugh at me and go on your merry way. Otherwise, I wish you cheese and the most epic of days. P.S. You can come borrow some of my Floridian sunshine. =)

You heard right, it’s my birthday!! Thanks for the well wishes (cheese is the best, right?!). And you can keep that Florida sunshine, I’m totally happy with the chilly, rainy spring we’re having. 😉
