So while my morning started off in a not-so-wonderful way the rest of the day was great.

How was my morning not-so-wonderful (you might be wondering)? Well, as you know I’ve been having some of the worst headaches EVER and nothing seems to tame them. I bought some Excedrin Migraine yesterday because people with migraines swear by it. This morning a migraine woke me at 9:30 so I took some and tried to go back to bed. Within 15 minutes I was literally twitching and so alert that sleep was no longer an option. I shook like that until almost 5pm. It was ridiculous. And made me so antsy and queasy to the stomach that writing wasn’t really much of an option. I did read through my old writing and delete the parts I no longer intend to keep and I also read some of “The Alchemyst: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel” but even doing all of that was difficult with the panic rising in me over why I was shaking so uncontrollably.

Turns out there’s a lot of caffeine in Excedrin Migraine and since I almost NEVER have caffeine (because I literally only drink water, lactaid milk, and the occasional cup of hot tea) 2 pills took effect in my system in a crazy way. It did take my migraine away which was nice, but I did NOT enjoy the effects of the caffeine. I think I will try just 1 pill the next time a migraine attacks me and hope it won’t rob me of an entire day again.

But enough of all that BLAH… onto all the LOVE 😉

So after 5pm (when the caffeine finally started to wear off) I went to my parents for my Maw Maw & Paw Paw’s 50th wedding anniversary party and it was great. First, I’m incredibly proud to have granparents still alive (they’re 70 and my grandfather has liver cancer with no cure in sight BTW) and still together after 50 years and Second, I have two sets of them who’ve been together this long and are this old. They are a great example of the way life used to be. When people knew what LOVE meant and upheld their vows on their wedding day until the end. I miss this in our society (you know the one where the divorce rate is higher than it’s ever been because people rush into things now and/or cheat more than ever – GAH!) Anyway the party was GRAND and they were UBER happy with the weekend getaway they were given. Click the photo below to see the party pics (BTW – that’s Janet & Elden on their wedding day 50 years ago – sooo cool!).

And in addition to the LOVE celebrated for 50 years with my grandparents my baby sister, Rachel, got engaged while on vacation in Vegas and shared the news with us at the party (thank GOD not married or I might have killed her and Steve). I’m so ridiculously happy for her because finally she has found someone worthy of her greatness and that is Steve. I look forward to him being my brother-in-law and I can’t say that I’ve felt that way about any of her predecessors. AND she’s opted to have me as part of her party. Considering she’s the only one scheduled to be in mine it makes sense for her to involve me in hers, but since we’re not exactly close I’ll admit I was surprised she included me in hers. (Rachel has lots of friends, she’s far more popular than me). Either way, I’m immensely happy for her and Steve and can’t wait for the wedding.

All-in-All it was a LOVE filled Saturday and so of course, I am happy.

Peace – Sarah
