I apologize for this being so late this month. Not only have I been unusually busy for the past month, I’ve also had a hard time pinning down which songs actually lived on repeat this month because there wasn’t anything new introduced to my music selection that dominated my playlist.

In all honesty, I listened to a lot of older music (primarily 90’s alternative rock) than anything. There were a few newer tracks that got a lot of shine though because guess what? I actually started writing again this month! Nothing too amazing or anything, just 3,200 words, but it was something nonetheless and something I feel better about than I have in a long time.

The number one song played on repeat was used for the newly written introduction to my book. It sets a far better tone than the previously used intro song. And because I’m feeling generous, here’s a tiny line from it:

Sometimes I think it might just be easier to give up and let go of hope.

Song used: “Atlantic” by Keane

The second most played book related track was: ”Tonight” by The Afters

Outside of these fairly newer tracks, some 90’s alterative tracks snuck their way onto another playlist for a series I plan to write next. Can you sense a theme? 😉

Most played included: “One Armed Scissor” by At the Drive-In

-AND-

”Heroin Girl” by Everclear

-AND-

”Not an Addict” by K’s Choice

Sorry there’s nothing “new” in this month’s music on repeat. I can assure you that there will be for July as I’ve already acquired a few new tracks that will not let me stop listening to them. Several of which are my crit partner edgyauthor’s fault. I guess it was only a matter of time before she corrupted me some more. 😉

Peace – Sarah
